FAQ

How do you photograph weddings?

On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. This also means that I will not decide how your wedding plays out. We really don't stage photos. We want real, genuine emotion and want you to remember your wedding day as just that-not as a production where you have to stand and act a certain way. Of course, we do pose the formal family + wedding party photos!

Where are you based and do you travel?

We are based in Las Cruces, New Mexico and yes, we LOVE to travel! If you want us to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, we always try to find the cheapest way to come! We want to be there for you and love being out of our comfort zone! It's when our creativity sparks in the best way!!

When will we get our photos?

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

How many pictures will we receive?

For 8 hours coverage wedding, you can expect to receive between 400 and 600 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story.

Can I have the raw files?

Sorry, no. A raw file is the image as seen by the camera's sensor. Think of it like unprocessed film. Most professionals shoot in raw to allow us to process the image in our own style using Photoshop or other professional editing tools. Most computers can't even see the raw file type. But, basically, no I'm not handing over unprocessed photos. I take a lot time perfecting each and every one of your images, then I convert them to jpegs so you can see them:)

What if the weather sucks on my wedding day?

We'll be there. We'll make it work. We'll still have a good time and get some unique and awesome photos! It may not be what you had in mind, but it doesn't mean you're doomed, I promise. :)

I am super awkward in front of the camera. What if I can't do those romantic poses?

I don't think we've met a couple who "knew" how to pose. We take a bit of a different approach. We aren't super formal, and honestly, a lot of our work isn't strictly posed. It kind of feels like we are just hanging out, and we capture moments that happen. We call them forced candids...we put you in situations, we talk to you, & laugh a bit. We'll work it out, don't worry!

Can I give you a list of shots?

We've been photographing weddings for almost 8 years. We have found that shot lists actually limit your photos and our creativity. If there is something extra special, definitely let us know. I'll be by your side the whole day:) The photos you see in our galleries go along with the flow of the day.
