Hey, how's it goin?

I'm Melissa and I'm both happy and nervous as hell that you're on this page! I find it really difficult to talk about myself, but here we are!

First off, don't let that ukulele fool you - I know all of two songs (poorly!) but that photo brings back fond memories of when our daughter insisted on getting me a ukulele for Christmas so we could learn to play together. That hoodie?! I own two of the same exact one because I wear it constantly and it's my favorite.

I believe the universe is for you and I don't believe in coincidence. If something happens (like a coyote crossing our path) you'd better believe I'm looking up the spiritual meaning! 😂 I'm a little in the "woo woo" world but, not like super-duper hippie either. I'm pretty introverted and more comfortable in smaller groups.

Obviously, photography lights me up and I am almost always trying to level up and improve. I'm an observer, which I now understand is part of my superpower. I aspire to gift you moments that you didn't realize were there, pictures of you and your family *really* smiling and connecting, and a record of where you all are in your journey here and now. I can promise you that I will do everything I can to help you and your family get comfortable in front of my camera.

What inspires me.

I'm drawn to photos that have a magical quality about them.

I want my senses to fire up and take me back to the moment.

I want to hear the photos; the laughter in the background, the wind in the trees and the stream trickling along.

I want to feel the warmth of the summer sun wash over me before it dips behind the mountain.

I want to smell the desert creosote after a summer rain, the chlorine in the pool,

or the sweet coffee aroma filling every inch of your home.

I want to see the vibrance of a person as they come alive when they laugh

or the tenderness they show when comforting their child.

01. Melissa

I am on a wild journey. ♡ I am a mom of three, plant obsessed, pepperoni pizza lover (especially from Dion's), adventure seeker, yoga and meditation beginner, New Girl & Outlander watcher, Harry Potter nerd, & ocean dreamer. I love being anywhere outdoors and traveling - especially with my kids. Connecting makes my soul oh so happy. ♡

03.Our Kids♡

Mason (14) loves golf, reading, basketball, Minecraft, Madden NFL 20 , and being outdoors. Currently wants to be an engineer and pro golfer. Ambitious and driven.

Mia (11) thrill seeker, adventure lover, adores her brothers, lives and breathes soccer, loves McDonald's, and currently was chosen to be a part of the NM Olympic Development Program for soccer in her age group! Cannot pass up a challenge. Incredibly bold and wildly kind.

Micah (5) loves sports and swimming. Takes any opportunity he can to get out of the house. Wants to do everything his older siblings do. Sometimes too fearless for his own good. Hilarious and a sweetheart.
